How Do I Sell My Tickets?
If you bought a ticket on Tixr but can’t attend the event, you may be able to resell your ticket directly through Tixr. This guide will walk you through how resale works, how to list your ticket, and how to get paid.
You must be logged into your Tixr account on a mobile or desktop web browser to list and manage tickets and payouts. This functionality is not yet supported in the Tixr app.
How Resale Works
Not all events offer Resale, and ticket eligibility—including what you can sell, when, and at what price—is determined by a mix of system rules, custom settings from the event organizer, and whether primary inventory is still available.
- Reserved seats can typically be listed right after purchase
- General Admission tickets can only be listed once that ticket type sells out
If your tickets are eligible, you’ll see a “Sell” option in your Tixr Wallet. You’ll be able to set your price, view your potential earnings, and list your tickets directly on the event page where you purchased them.
- If another fan buys them, your payout’s guaranteed—and our system handles the rest.
- Tickets you’ve listed but haven’t sold are still yours. You can still transfer, upgrade, or use them if they don’t sell.
Pro Tips:
- List early to give buyers more time to find your tickets.
- Price smart—consider face value, current demand, and any listing caps.
- Make sure your payout account is set up in advance for prompt payouts.
How to Check if You Can Sell Your Tickets
- Log in to your Tixr account
- Tap your initials in the top-right corner of Tixr.com
- Select Wallet from the dropdown
- Tap the relevant event to open your Event Dashboard
- Look for the "Sell" action button
- You will only see if this if Resale is enabled and you have a ticket that’s currently eligible to sell
Don’t see the “Sell” option?
- That means Resale isn’t available for the event, your ticket isn’t eligible, or the event organizer has restricted resale for that ticket type.
- Your ticket may still become eligible later. Check back periodically if you’re hoping to list it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are none (or some) of my tickets eligible for resale?
Not all tickets are eligible for resale. You can resell a ticket if all of the following are true:
- Resale is enabled on the event
- Your ticket type isn’t restricted by the event organizer
- You’ve purchased a reserved seat or a sold-out general admission ticket type.
- You are the original purchaser (meaning, the ticket was not transferred to you)
- Your ticket is not part of a season package
- You do not have a pending or incomplete payment plan
- The ticket was sold at a single price level (meaning, there weren’t multiple prices like adult and child available)
- It was not purchased as an “add-on” in checkout
- The delivery method is not Will Call
Can I change my ticket listing?
Yes, as long as it hasn’t sold, you can modify or remove it anytime.
Will I be charged a seller fee?
Fees vary by event. You’ll see the exact amount before confirming your listing.
When will I get paid?
You'll receive your payment after your ticket sells and the event has occurred. Just make sure your payout account is set up in advance so there are no delays.
What if the event is canceled?
If the event is canceled, and your listing has already sold, you don’t need to take any action. If your listing hasn’t yet sold, all refunds will be processed according to the event's specific refund policy.
Can I sell only some of my tickets?
Yes, you can list just one or a few from your order. The rest will remain yours.
Will my tickets be sold together?
Not necessarily. Buyers can choose how many of your listed tickets they want to purchase.
Will I be refunded for buying Order Protection?
No. If you purchased Order Protection and later resell your ticket, your policy cancels and does not transfer to the new buyer. Coverage is only valid for the original purchaser. If you list your ticket and it hasn’t yet sold, your purchase is still protected.
