How Do I Sell Tickets I've Bought On Tixr?
If the event organizer has turned Tixr Resale on for the event and ticket type you've purchased is eligible, you'll be able to conveniently list your reserved seats and sold-out general admission tickets for sale at your own price with guaranteed payout if another fan purchases them. Our system handles the rest.
How It Works
- If any tickets in your Tixr Wallet are eligible for resale, you'll see a "Sell" action button next to other flexible options available to you after you've made a purchase (e.g. Transfer, Upgrade)
- Select the tickets you want to sell, set your own fair price, and see exactly what you'll be paid. out
- Your listing publishes to the event page for other fans to consider.
- Your tickets remain in your Tixr Wallet up until the point that they sell. Until then, they're still yours, and you can do whatever you want them. If they sell to another fan, your listing disappears from the event's marketplace, your tickets are invalidated, and a new order gets issued to the purchaser. You'll be prompted to set up a payout destination through Stripe, and once the event is over, you'll receive your payout.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I remove my ticket listing?
Yes, you can modify or remove your listing at any time before the ticket sells. Once sold, the new buyer becomes the owner of the ticket and you no longer have access to it.
Are there any fees for listing?
Fees vary by event. Always review the fee breakdown before confirming your listing.
When do I receive payment after my ticket sells?
After your ticket sells and the event takes place, you'll receive payment—just ensure you've set up your payout account first.
What if the event is canceled?
If the event is canceled, you don’t need to take any action. Refunds will first be issued to the original ticket purchaser and then those funds will be automatically transferred to the resale buyer. Buyers may temporarily see both a charge and a credit on their statement, but the amounts will balance out.
*All refunds will be processed according to the event's specific refund policy.
Can I sell partial quantities of my ticket order?
Yes, you can sell a portion of your tickets, keeping the rest for yourself.
Will my tickets be sold together?
No, tickets listed for resale can be purchased individually. When a buyer views your listing, they can choose to purchase any number of tickets up to the total quantity you've listed for sale.
Why are only some of my tickets eligible for resale?
Tickets may not be eligible for resale for several reasons:
- They were transferred to you (you were not the original purchaser)
- They require shipping or physical delivery
- They were sold at multiple price levels
- They have pending or incomplete payment plans
- They are add-on items
- They are part of entire season packages
- They are General Admission tickets that aren't sold out
- They do not meet custom eligibility rules set by the event organizer
