Season Tickets: Planning for your Season and Events

There are 3 distinct aspects that we recommend you plan out before beginning to create the season and its related events. NOTE: You must have the Season Tickets feature enabled for your group to set up a season.

System-level Planning

Group > System

Plan for the following, as needed:

  1. Collections & Collection Sets
    • Collection Examples: Event Tickets, Parking Passes, Food & Beverage, or Merchandise
    • Collection Set named "2023 Season" and may include any of the collections
  2. Price Levels
    • Price Level Examples: Child Under 13, Adult 13+, Seniors 60+
  3. Venue: Select the venue you want to use.
    • If you need to add a new venue, take time to create it first.
  4. Seat Map: Decide which venue seat map you want to use.
    • If you need a new map, take time to plan how you want to set it up for your Season as it will be used for all of the related season events.

Group > System > Season

Plan for the following:

  1. The name of your Season.
  2. The venue for the events in the season.
  3. The venue seat map you want to use.
  4. Prepare high quality images for use in your Season event display on Tixr.
  5. Every season requires a Package, so plan for a Package name that fits with your strategy for the selected group events.

Examples: Your season package may include all events in your season or it may include only a handful of events that were created and you choose the ones the fit your package.

Get ready to set up the Master Season event

Plan for the following:

  1. The start and end dates for the season ticket type sales or partial season ticket type sales.
  2. The start and end dates for your individual ticket type sales within the season or partial season.

Partial Season Planning

Plan for the following:

  1. For partial seasons, you will first set up a season in Group > System > Season.
  2. Plan for the master event as it will also contain a package of games, so decide how you want to group events for your partial season.
  3. Set up the partial season master event once you've designated the games included in the package.
  4. Use holds to reserve seats for the events that you want to be able to sell only through this partial season.

The seating chart for the partial season games will show seats as unavailable for any seats that have already been reserved, held, or were purchased at the season level or on the individual game level.

Please note: Sale dates for games in a partial season package or sale dates for individual games may not overlap with the season master event sale dates.

Individual Game Planning

Plan for the following:

  1. Use holds to reserve seats that to be sold on the individual game seat map. It will show as unavailable on the partial or full season seating maps.
    • The seating chart for the individual games will show seats as unavailable for any seats that have already been reserved or were purchased at the season or partial season level.
  2. Add ticket type sale dates for the held individual game inventory.

Please note: Sale dates for individual games may not overlap with the season master event sale dates or the partial season sale dates if the individual game is part of the package.
