About Payment Plans
Payment plans allow you to spread out larger purchases over time, making them more manageable. Instead of paying the full amount upfront, you can pay in monthly installments with only a down payment processed immediately at checkout.
Selecting a Payment Plan
🌟 NOTE: The option to pay with a payment plan and the cutoff dates for payment plans are set by the event organizer. This means that not every event will offer payment plans.
If the event offers payment plans, you will find an offer in your order summary on the left side of your checkout screen.
- First, select the desired tickets on the event purchase page and proceed to checkout.
- Click the blue button offering a payment plan on the checkout page.
- Then, you will be taken to an agreement page where you can review the payment plan schedule, with installment amounts, and read payment plan policies before finalizing your purchase.
Updating the Payment Method
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Once enrolled in a payment plan, the installment dates and amounts set at checkout can't be changed or altered at a later date.
- If you have any missed payments when you update your payment method, the system will automatically charge the new card for the past-due amount.
To update the payment method associated with your payment plan:
- Log into your Tixr account, click the menu icon with your initials in the upper right corner, then select Wallet.
- Find and select the desired event. Above the list of your tickets at the bottom of the page, you’ll see a box that says Payment Plan.
- Click the Payment Plan box and a pop-up will appear with your payment plan details. Scroll to the bottom and click the dropdown to update the payment method.
- Fill in the new payment information and click Update Payment Info to save the new card.
- Confirm the new payment method.
Canceling Your Payment Plan
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTE: While you can cancel your payment plan directly through your Tixr account, any payments you've already made are non-refundable (as stated in the purchase policy that was agreed to at checkout).
To cancel your payment plan through your Tixr account:
- Follow the steps in the above section to locate your order and view your payment plan details.
- Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and click Cancel Payment Plan. Once you submit the cancelation, you’ll receive a confirmation email from Tixr.
FAQs
I meant to use a payment plan, but didn’t select it at checkout. Can I put my order on a payment plan now?
The payment plan option must be selected at checkout. We can't retroactively apply payment plans to orders that are already complete and processed or refund orders that were mistakenly purchased in full.
What needs to be done on the payment installment due dates?
The Tixr system will automatically run the card on file by end of day on the installment due date- no action is needed.
How do I delete a payment method from my payment plan?
Deleting the card associated with your payment plan will cancel your payment plan automatically. Instead, you should just update the payment method on your plan. This will ensure the correct card gets charged while keeping your payment plan active.
What happens if my card declines?
If a payment is declined, the system will automatically try the credit card on file 5 days later and again 10 days after the first missed payment.
If those attempts fail, you’ll need to contact our support team, who can re-attempt the charge manually.
How will I know if I missed a payment?
If a payment is declined, you'll receive an automated email notification. To ensure you don’t miss any important updates about your order, please adjust your email filter settings to ensure Tixr emails are not marked as spam.
I have a past-due balance. How long do I have before my order cancels?
If a payment fails three times, your order may be at risk of cancellation. Event organizers have the ability to cancel past-due orders at their discretion, so we strongly recommend making the payment as soon as possible to avoid any issues.
Can I pay part of my past-due balance now and the rest later?
The amount paid toward a payment plan can't be customized. The system will automatically charge the payment method for the full past-due balance.
Can I pay off my plan early?
Once enrolled in a payment plan, the order must follow the specified payment schedule. We do not support full payments or early payoffs for existing payment plans.
Can I split a single payment between cards?
While individual installments on a payment plan can't be split between cards, you can always update the card on file if you'd like different installments charged to different payment methods.
